Filthy wet weather for qualifying on Friday was soon forgotten by Saturday when brilliant sunshine complemented some great racing. The Battle of Britain Trophy saw Simon and Alex Drabble each having good races in the Mk2 3.8 and Sabre 6 respectively. After being barged off at Brooklands in 16th position, Alex worked his way back through the field from 41st to 29th – overhauling his father in the process.
Meanwhile Simon in the MK2 (pictured) had a good race, particularly in preparation the forthcoming Goodwood Revival St. Mary`s Trophy.
Sunday was, once more, a washout, but Classic Silverstone still reigns supreme for its sheer diversity of cars, races and quality of driving.
WinSpeed Motorsport of Guildford are pleased to be running and developing these two cars for their enthusiastic owners.
