Conforming to 1961 FIA Appendix K Specification (with HTP), this 1963 Jaguar 3.8 Mk2 has been built from a bare shell into a Race-Ready Competition car with matching numbers. It is with us at WinSpeed. We built the engine, undertook much of the development and ran the car for its owner during the 2015 season. We can continue to run it for you.
The car has had a good first season showing great potential against its more established peers. It has been tested sufficiently to shake out new-build gremlins and it also had a class win in the BTCC series run by HRDC.
Having competed (car No.: 19) at the 2015 Goodwood Revival St. Mary`s Trophy – co-driven by its owner and guest driver Tiff Needell (Lap Time 1:38.923) the car compared well with Andy Wallace (No. 124) @ 1:38.300 in Qualifying.
As such it is also the perfect entry for the 2016 Tour Auto (18-24 April) which have Jaguar Mk2 3.8 as one of their featured cars to celebrate their 25th anniversary.
Fitted with long range fuel tanks (as homologated for Tour de France) the car was built with no limit on budget with a view to enter it in Spa 6 Hour. Built up from a fully restored bare shell and engineered for Torque and Durability using the very best parts (Straight-cut close ratio gearbox etc.) Full spec on request.
Eligible for Goodwood, Masters Top Hat, HRDC BTCC, HSCC HRSR, Jaguar Heritage Challenge, Spa 6 Hour and Tour Auto.
We are seeking offers in the region of £100k (and we challenge you to build one to this spec for this money!).
