Exported new to New York in 1973, it is quite extraordinary to see that this car then returned to UK in 1980, when only seven years old and with a mileage of some 34,000. Not only that, but it was completely stripped back to bare metal upon arrival, professionally converted from Automatic to Manual and also to RHD, with a complete colour change from Fern Grey with Moss Green trim to Silver with Black. There is an extensive photo album documenting this expensive process, made even more remarkable by virtue also of documenting its further transformation to its present very attractive colour combination.
