Without being in the slightest bit complacent – who knows what might be lurking in the shadows these days – the classic Jaguar industry seems to be busier than ever. 2019 ended on a high note for WinSpeed and 2020 opened with a full order book and good forward bookings.
Then – wallop! March 23rd to May 31st.: complete Lockdown; total inertia followed by ten weeks of nervous uncertainty. Our loyal staff were furloughed – there was no question of risking losing a great and talented team all members of which understand the WinSpeed ethos of engineering-led straight-talking.
When we reopened our doors on June 1st we picked up our spanners, started where we left off and scheduled a spate of new bookings from customers both old and new. A most gratifying situation resulting not in lay-offs but actually increasing our workforce to cope with strong demand. Finding new talent is always a welcome experience – so welcome to Chris Evans (No! Not THAT one!!!) bringing our workshop team up to eight, hands-on, guys.
With an efficient office and parts department all linking in to our new website, WinSpeed is as determined as ever to ensure a comprehensive service to our loyal and ever-expanding customer base.
