With just four days to go before Testing at Snetterton – in preparation for the 2013 Jaguar Enthusiasts Club XJS Challenge Series – Simon Blunt’s new 3.6 Litre XJS Racer is nearing completion. Project Managed by WinSpeed engineer Alan Murphy, this car has been built from scratch from a previously road-going car.
Following the strict rules that apply, Simon’s intention is to ‘Teach himself to race’ at an affordable cost and well-assessed management of risk.
Stripped of all unnecessary trim and components, but fully ‘plumbed’ for Fire and Ignition Cut-off, installed with a full Roll-Cage, Racing Seats and 6-Point Racing Harness this car remains fully road legal. You can follow Simon`s progress through the Racing Season both here, on FaceBook and Twitter.
