About Us
Peter Hugo and Chris Window are a team
Having worked successfully together since 1990, and independently before that, we share a joint passion for Jaguars both Classic and Modern. It has long been our goal to have our own show and now, with WSM - WinSpeed Motorsport - our objective has been achieved.
We are pleased to be up there with the best in the Classic Jaguar world with huge experience and an enviable track record. Whether it is driving and enjoying our own classic Jaguar XK`s and Jaguar E-Types, immersing ourselves in classic motorsport at the Goodwood Revival, or Classic Le Mans, or just being pleased to sell and maintain very good cars, we love the world that we are in and we are more than happy to share it with you.
Between the two of us we have owned and, in most cases used on a daily basis, most of the models that we sell and maintain, including the modern Jaguar range. So we have first hand experience of the fun that can be had... and the problems that can be avoided!
Having been founding members of a leading car dealership and having been responsible for their Classic Car division, we have a good track record and can offer a very personal service.
Quality is the key word in our vocabulary - whether relating to the cars that we sell, or to the engineering expertise of our workshops.
Chris is the Engineer - every job, whether large or small, is viewed with an engineer's eye and a determination to "do the job properly"; for Chris there is no compromise - it is either done correctly or not at all. He has a no-nonsense approach, preferring to find the cause of the problem rather than just fit another part. His experience in this field has enabled him to accumulate a vast fund of knowledge to the benefit of both the car ... and, of course, the customer!
Chris' Jaguar XK120 Roadster is a fitting testimony to his inherent abilities and determination to get things `just right` ...it is a purist`s dream!
Peter is the Salesman, but just a little more than that! He's a bit of an Historian and also an aesthete. He is as 'picky' about the cars that he sells as he is about those that he owns. He has a critical eye and will only stock cars with which he feels comfortable. Since buying his first car - an Austin 7 - in 1963 when he was 14, Peter has owned and competed in cars from the 1930's to the present day - Riley, Lagonda, BMW and above all Jaguar! His mentors were Bill Meredith-Owen of The Stratford on Avon Motor Museum and also the legendary Rivers-Fletcher who taught him the 'art' of Speed Hill Climb.
Peter's XK120 Roadster is a Nigel Dawes restoration oozing appeal, bristling with goodies and just little bit of a surprise!
Between the two of us we hope that, as you read this, our enthusiasm rubs off on you just as it has done with all our loyal customers.
